Simply Put, I’m Tired: Efficacy to Combat Racism among African American Adolescent Boys and Girls

This study examined the mediating role of self-efficacy to combat racism on effect school-based racial discrimination and African American adolescents’ racialized educational beliefs. Our analyzed data from a total 525 boys (N = 256) girls 269). For girls, teacher was associated with beliefs, conceptualized by how hard adolescents believe they have work in their race. The results further revealed that for boys’ school mediated relationship between peer However, girls’ did illustrate feeling less self-efficacious endorsing beliefs boys. Research practice implications are provided as well importance considering gender differences amongst adolescents.
